WDTN Interview for Beavercreek's Art in the Park...

Event Facts:

When: Saturday, September 6th, 11am-5pm

Where: Dominick-Lofino Park, 640 Grange Hall Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio.

What:

-Art Walk: This will be a peaceful stroll around the pond, mingling nature and beautiful, though-provoking artwork.

-Kids Art Area: Conveniently located next to the playground, the art area will inspire the kids to get creative! Decoy Art will be there with face painting and fun!

-Community Art Project: Be a part of an art project that each Art in the Park attendee can participate in. We will have a special canvas up and plenty of paint to go around! Let's see what we end up with!

-Buy/Sell Arts and Crafts: Bring your creations just to show off and discuss, or to sell!

-On-site artists: Many of the professional artists (and student artists!) will be here, hanging around and eager to answer questions about their work!

About the Event:

Beavercreek's Art in the Park is the creation of Evelyn Long, who created the event when she was 12 years old. For her Cadette Girl Scout Silver Award, Evelyn needed to make a new and positive change to the community. Longing for a broader and more prominent art scene in Beavercreek, she developed the Art in the Park.

With some help from her parents, friends, Troop Leader Stacey Hooker, Tabitha and everyone at Decoy Art, Evelyn is bringing a big, wonderful event to the Beavercreek community!
